Though its ancestors include sativa-influenced cultivars like Durban Poison and Chemdog, the phenotype leans toward indica characteristics. London Pound Cake is recognized for its dense structure and complex terpene expression.

Mendo Purps, sometimes referred to as Mendocino Purps, earned recognition in the early 2000s when it was named High Times Strain of the Year in 2007. This variety traces back to Northern California’s Emerald Triangle and showcases classic indica morphology.

When these two lines converged, breeders aimed to create a hybrid with vigorous growth, vivid coloration, and a terpene profile combining earthy, berry, and subtle citrus notes.
