Khalifa Kush, the artist's OG we grow in-house

Khalifa Kush is the OG-family strain developed for Wiz Khalifa, and the version on our shelf is grown here: Planet 13 cultivates KK in-house under the licensed partnership, from flower through the concentrates our own lab presses.

What it is

The accepted story: an OG Kush selection developed to the artist's own specification, kept close for years before going commercial. It is a celebrity brand, but unlike most celebrity cannabis the product here is not licensed-in from a third-party shelf: the plants grow in our rooms, and the lab work is ours. The award

At Best in Grass Nevada 2025, judged anonymously at home by everyday consumers, the Medizin-cultivated Khalifa Kush flower took First Place in the hybrid flower category, and Khalifa Mints took third in indica. The entered categories and our per-batch chemotype badges can differ batch to batch; both describe the same program from different angles.

What our lab panels show

The 3.5g flower prepack currently tests 24.8% THC with an indica chemotype and myrcene at 0.44% leading caryophyllene, linalool, and limonene: the classic rounded OG stack. The live rosin, our solventless press, carries 87 mg/g of total terpenes with limonene and myrcene effectively tied at 2.2%; the live-resin cart pushes myrcene to 2.85%. Across the line the chemotypes hold indica to indica-hybrid, which is exactly where the OG family's reputation lives. The Khalifa Yellow smalls (same program, value format) test 27.9% THC caryophyllene-first.

Sibling cut: Khalifa Mints

The same program grows Khalifa Mints, a minty-bright counterpart that flips the profile: limonene and linalool lead its badder and rosin panels (2.3-2.5% and 1.4-2.0% respectively), and its chemotypes read hybrid rather than indica. If KK is the night lane, Mints is the same brand's daylight cut; both carry full panels on their product pages.
