Purple Punch strain: what the lab panel shows
Purple Punch is the cross widely told as Larry OG x Granddaddy Purple, and on Planet 13's Las Vegas superstore shelf it comes as one product, a Packarillos 1.2g infused blunt at 38.1% THC carrying 7 mg/g of terpenes, of which its panel lists caryophyllene first, then linalool, bisabolol and humulene in a near tie. The same brand's Rose OG blunt reads almost the same panel, so this blunt's panel may say more about the Packarillos infused blunt than about Purple Punch itself.
What it is
The usual telling makes Purple Punch a Larry OG x Granddaddy Purple cross, a widely circulated account rather than a lab fact. What a lab can speak to is the one Purple Punch product on the superstore's shelf, a Packarillos infused blunt; infused means concentrate added to the flower, the trade's way of pushing potency past flower alone.
What the panel on the superstore's shelf shows
One product, one panel: caryophyllene 0.20%, then linalool 0.10%, bisabolol 0.09% and humulene 0.09% in a near tie, with 7 mg/g of terpenes in total. That total sits under the minimum our grading needs to place a batch on the spectrum, so the panel carries no chemotype label rather than a guess. These readings come from the ten terpenes our product pages list: the four listed for this blunt make up about 5 of its 7 mg/g, and a compound outside that set could reorder its panel. The terpene guide covers each of them.
The same brand's Rose OG 1.2g infused blunt, also on the superstore's shelf, reads almost the same panel: caryophyllene 0.19%, then linalool 0.10%, humulene 0.09% and bisabolol 0.08% in a near tie, with 6 mg/g in total, each of the four readings within 0.02 points of this blunt's. Two strain names from one brand reading this alike suggests that this panel may say more about the Packarillos infused blunt than about Purple Punch itself.
What that means for you
Treat this as a reading of one blunt rather than a portrait of Purple Punch: its total sits under the grading's minimum, a Packarillos blunt under another strain name reads almost the same, and the terpenes its panel leaves unnamed come to nearly as much as its caryophyllene, so an unnamed one could sit level with the lead. If you shop by terpenes, the product page always shows the current batch's panel.
