Super Lemon Haze strain: what the lab panels show

Super Lemon Haze is the cross widely told as Green House Seeds' Lemon Skunk x Super Silver Haze, and on Planet 13's Las Vegas superstore shelf it comes from four brands in eight products that all report terpinolene, which leads on the flower and plain pre-rolls, while two STIIIZY distillate vape pods lead with limonene.

What it is

The usual telling makes it a sativa-dominant Green House Seeds hybrid, and the breeder's own award list claims High Times Cannabis Cup first places in 2008 and 2009; that is the widely told account, not a lab fact. On the Las Vegas superstore's shelf the eight products hold fewer independent readings than their count suggests: Superior's 14g flower and 1g pre-roll print the same readings, and the Emperors Choice pre-roll repeats the THC and every terpene reading of Superior's 3.5g, though not its total.

What the Las Vegas superstore's panels show

Terpinolene is first or second on all eight. It leads the four Superior and Emperors Choice flower and plain pre-roll products with ocimene second, at 1.03% on Superior's 14g and 1g and 0.94% on its 3.5g and the Emperors Choice pre-roll, and it leads the Grassroots 1g infused pre-roll at 0.72%. The Grassroots five-pack of infused pre-rolls leads with caryophyllene at 0.26%, terpinolene second at 0.20%. STIIIZY's two distillate pods lead with limonene, 1.38% on the .5g and 2.09% on the .95g, with terpinolene second at 0.97% and 1.26%, and limonene is not among the terpenes the other six products report; a terpene a panel does not report is unknown, not zero. THC runs 18.7% to 25.0% in the flower and plain pre-rolls, 36.1% to 39.3% in the infused pre-rolls and 83.2% to 91.9% in the pods. Every product grades sativa except the five-pack, whose panel totals 8.3 mg/g of terpenes and carries no grade: the grading counts only the terpenes it recognizes, and here those come to less than its 8 mg/g floor.

What that means for you

The forms that carry this name on the Las Vegas superstore's shelf reach their terpenes differently. Flower and plain pre-rolls carry the plant's own. An infused pre-roll adds concentrate to the flower, which is why the two Grassroots products run higher in THC. The pods are distillate, which leaves the still stripped of terpenes, so a pod's panel reads the blend its maker added back afterward, and where those terpenes come from is worth asking. Each grade is computed from that batch's own panel, not from the name, as the five-class spectrum explains, so read the product page's panel before you choose.

On the Las Vegas superstore's shelf, Super Lemon Haze currently runs Superior 14g and 3.5g flower and a 1g pre-roll, an Emperors Choice 1g pre-roll, two Grassroots infused pre-rolls, and STIIIZY .5g and .95g pods. Search it on the live menu and read each batch's panel. A search on the menu may also show a Voon Super Lemon Haze edible, a product sold under that name; it is not one of the eight, and none of the figures above come from it.

Lab figures are from our committed menu snapshot and change batch to batch; the product page always shows the current panel. Effects vary by person; nothing here is medical advice. For use only by adults 21 and older.
