White Rhino is a Green House Seeds strain, widely told as the company's White Widow crossed with an Afghan indica and credited to the breeder Shantibaba, who later took its line to Mr. Nice Seedbank. What it is
Green House Seeds gives it as its White Widow crossed with a selected Afghan indica; other accounts call the second parent a North American indica. It is credited to Scott Blakey, known as Shantibaba, then a breeder with Green House Seeds, who later took the parent stock to Mr. Nice Seedbank, where the line was renamed Medicine Man.
It took second place in the Bio category at the 1996 High Times Cannabis Cup, and Green House Seeds lists a second place at the 2005 Champions Cup. One account says its name comes from the shape of its main bud, like a rhino's horn. All of that is the circulated history, not a lab fact.
