Lemon Haze strain: its lineage and history
Lemon Haze is a name several seed companies use for their own crosses, most of them Lemon Skunk with a Haze, rather than one breeder's strain, and it is often confused with Super Lemon Haze. Lemon Haze is not on the Las Vegas superstore's shelf at our latest menu update; the live menu shows when a new batch arrives.
What it is
No original breeder is credited, and no record dates the first. Amsterdam Genetics sells it as Lemon Skunk crossed with Silver Haze; other sellers use Amnesia Haze, Shining Silver Haze or Super Silver Haze. So the versions these listings give all share Lemon Skunk, and other sellers' versions can differ.
It is often confused with Super Lemon Haze, a different strain from Green House Seeds, which won the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2008 and 2009. All of that is the circulated history, not a lab fact.
What is on our shelf now
Lemon Haze is not on the Las Vegas superstore's shelf at our latest menu update; the live menu shows when a new batch arrives.
When a batch with a lab panel is on our shelf, this section lists each product with its lab panel and its grade on the five-class spectrum. Search Lemon Haze on the live menu.
What that means for you
Because the name covers different crosses, and our shelf can hold strains whose names include it, a batch's terpenes and its grade on the five-class spectrum say more than the label.
Questions people ask about Lemon Haze
Is Lemon Haze indica or sativa?
Lemon Haze is usually described as a sativa or a hybrid that leans sativa. That is its reputation, not a lab fact. Lemon Haze is not on the Las Vegas superstore's shelf today, so no current panel of ours grades it.
How strong is Lemon Haze?
Lemon Haze is not on the Las Vegas superstore's shelf today, so we will not guess; the live menu lists each batch's tested THC.
What does Lemon Haze smell and taste like?
Lemon Haze is not on the Las Vegas superstore's shelf today, so we have no current panel to read, and we will not describe it from the name alone.
What effects does Lemon Haze have?
Effects vary from person to person and from batch to batch, so we do not promise any. What a panel tells you is the chemistry: which terpenes lead, and the grade it earns on the five-class spectrum.
Is Lemon Haze the same as Super Lemon Haze?
No. Super Lemon Haze is Green House Seeds' cross of Lemon Skunk and Super Silver Haze, a strain of its own; Lemon Haze is a name several seed companies use for their own crosses, most of them Lemon Skunk with a Haze. Super Lemon Haze has its own guide on this site.
